Red & Near-infrared (NIR) light therapy has been extensively studied for its potential in skin rejuvenation, with several clinical studies demonstrating its efficacy:

A study assessed the effectiveness of combined 633nm (red) and 830nm (NIR) therapy in facial skin rejuvenation. Participants underwent nine 20 minute sessions over five weeks.   • Shockwave Therapy or Acoustic wave therapy is a cellulite and fat reduction solution that uses soundwave technology to target and eradicate fat tissue through the skin. It is a non-invasive, advanced treatment.

  • This treatment may not be suitable if you:

    ›  Are pregnant (please note this applies to abdominal treatment only)
    ›  Have epilepsy
    ›  Have an existing skin condition or skin cancer › Are using hormone pellets (it’s important to asses timing. You should avoid shockwave therapy if you’ve had a pellet inserted in the past 2 weeks, if you have severe hormonal imbalance symptoms, if you have a history of blood clotting disorders or cardiovascular issues due to the effects of both treatments on circulation, if the pellet site is inflamed or healing.
    ›  Have undergone cosmetic procedures such as botox or fillers in the last 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, most hyaluronic acid fillers have settled. With collagen stimulating filler, more time may be required. Before proceeding with any treatments in areas where fillers have been placed, it’s important to consult with your filler professional or injector. They can assess whether the filler has fully settled and if the planned treatment is appropriate for your specific situation.

  • Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive and non-surgical treatment. You may feel a little pain or discomfort in the treatment area during the therapy, especially during the first treatment as you become familiar with the sensation. Most clients find the following treatments painless.

  • Each treatment can take about 30 to 120 minutes, depending on your chosen treatment and whether light therapy is used in conjunction to shockwave therapy.

  • About 8 to 10 treatments are needed to see visible results. Your therapist will let you know the number of treatments required depending on your needs and concerns.

  • NIR therapy uses wavelengths of light (typically 700-1200 nm) to penetrate the skin and stimulate cellular processes such as collagen production and improved circulation.   • Red Light Therapy (used to target (shallow layers of the skin) is commonly used to stimulate collagen and elastin in wavelength range of 630-700nm. NIR (with wavelength range of 700-1200nm) reaches deeper layers and as such improves circulation, bringing oxygen and nutrients to the skin and supports deeper cellular regeneration. NIR therapy:

  • Both our Shockwave and Light-Based Therapies are completely non-invasive. Unlike traditional methods that rely on thermal injury to trigger skin repair, our light therapy works by gently stimulating cellular renewal - without heat, damage or downtime. Therefore, side effects are rare.

  • Avoid if you

    • have active cancer, or history of skin cancer

    • photosensitivity disorders, epilepsy, or if you use photosensitising medications (eg antibiotics, diuretics, NSAIDs, and antidepressants)

    • are pregnant (this applies to avoiding abdominal treatment only)

    • have had recent botox or dermal filler in the treatment area as light therapy may accelerate filler breakdown or cause uneven absorption (it is recommended to wait at least 2 weeks post treatment)

    • have open wounds, active infections, broken skin

    • have autoimmune skin disorders (conditions like Lupus, Vitiligo, and Psoriasis) as these can worsen with excessive light exposure

    • are undergoing hormone therapy (pellets or HRT) as increased circulation from light therapy may affect hormone absorption.

    • have had recent laser resurfacing, chemical peels or microdermabrasion - the skin needs at least 4 weeks to heal before further light exposure is applied to the same area

    • have lymphedema or circulatory disorders - light therapy may not be suitable for individuals with certain vascular conditions.

  • This treatment is gentle on sensitive skin as it uses non-ablative, non-traumatic wavelengths that do not overheat or burn the skin. Instead of relying on thermal damage, our tech stimulates ATP (cell energy), boosts oxygenation, and promotes deep tissue healing - without triggering unnecessary inflammation.

  • Our technology provides depth beyond the skin surface to reach deeper layers of skin and tissue to deliver long-lasting, transformative results. As such, shorter sessions ( typically 2-3 minutes per treatment area) apply.
